My Review of "The Elephant Man"
The Elephant Man, directed by David Lynch, was a really good movie in my opinion. Most movies that are based on a true story never really interest me, but this movie was one that really caught my attention. I grew fond of some of the characters, especially John Merrick. The kind of person he was and how he lived his life was very interesting to me. Another thing I liked about the movie was the plot. The way the movie was developing in the story draws in the audience and makes you like some of the characters, such as John Merrick and Dr. Fredrick Treves. You begin to ignore John's deformities and start to like him as a person. I really liked how Lynch set this all up in his head and how he made it work. The final reason as to why I liked the Elephant Man is because of how the characters changed over time. They seems to treat Merrick as another person with a disease but in the end, the characters all treated Merrick like if he was family.

"You begin to ignore John's deformities and start to like him as a person.” That, in a nutshell, is what makes the movie amazing. I’m also glad you caught how the changes in the characters are a big part of the movie’s impact. Well said!
